The town is famous with its wine-cellars, producing the best red wine in the country. The surrounding nature is unique and beautiful – here You can witness the biggest rocky pyramids in Bulgaria. The Rojen Monastery, found in13th century, is located to the east of Melnik. The iconostasis, the woodcarving and the miraculous Icon of the Virgin in the monastery's church are true masterpieces. The Rupite is a sacred place where You can visit the temple built by the famous Bulgarian clairvoyant and healer Baba Vanga. Duration of the excursion – about 10 hours.
