Koprivshtitsa
Departure at 8 A.M. from “Aleksandar Nevski” Square (behind the Cathedral, on “Oborishte” St), Sofia City. We strongly recommend You make a preliminary reservation. Koprivshtitsa is a small town, situated in a picturesque valley between the mountains in the central part of Bulgaria. It is a town-museum with a unique spirit still preserving the atmosphere of the Bulgarian National Revival period. Here You can witness beautiful houses from the 19th century, some of them homes of great Bulgarians – the writers Dimcho Debelyanov and Lyuben Karavelov, the rebels against the Turks - Georgi Benkovski and Todor Kableshkov. Along with significant historical monuments there are exquisite ethnographic treasures such as distinctive architecture, original furnishing, old weapons, national costumes, traditional crafts, precious jewelery. Duration of the excursion – about 8 hours. Tourists will be transported back to Sofia to “Aleksandar Nevski” Square.
