Veliko Tarnovo - the capital of the Second Bulgarian Kingdom is one of the most magnificent Bulgarian towns, regally situated on four hills. The houses are scattered at the foot of the hills with their gables crowning the steep streets. Here are preserved relics from the ancient fortress, built on the banks of the Yantra river. Medieval churches, saved until today, would tell stories from the Bulgarian history. The houses in Arbanasi resemble strongholds from the outside but the wonders of the interior are a hidden delight. Here is also located the ex-residency of the Communist leader Todor Zhivkov. Duration of the excursion – about 11 hours. Tourists will be transported back to “Aleksandar Nevski” Square, Sofia.
