The town of Primorsko is famous for its wonderful nature, vast beaches and dense maritime woods. On its territory is the Natural Reserve “Ropotamo” where rock phenomena “Lavska glava” (“Lion's Head”) and “Zmeyova kashta” (“Dragon's House”) are located. Ropotamo and Dyavolska rivers are passing through the area and 6 km from the town is the remarkable Maslen Nos ( Maslen Cape). There's great number of hotels, holiday houses and villas in Primorsko. The town is also well-known as especially youth town among the Black Sea resorts. Here young people find the best conditions for relaxation on reasonable prices. Primorsko's guests will enjoy a quiet or an intensive holiday with lots of parties, emotions and unforgettable moments.

HISTORY:
Primorsko's seaside is strewed all over with ruins of ancient and great towns. The walls of the longest existed settlement in the region – Ranuli, is lifted up on the hill called Valchanovo kale (“Valchan's fortress”). The total area surrounding the fortress walls is 30 decares. According to the historians it is one of the biggest fortress towns in Bulgaria - the district centre in the Middle Ages. Parts of ancient vessels can be often found on the beach thrown from the sea.

CLIMATE:
The climate in Primorsko is under continental, Black Sea and Mediterranean influence. Summer is sunny and warm, with fresh daily winds and comparatively high night temperatures. The average temperature in July is 23 - 24°С. The maximum temperatures rarely exceed 32 - 33 °С.

TOURISM CONDITIONS. BEACHES:
There are four beaches on the territory of Primorsko – northern, central, southern and “Perla”. The northern beach is among the most picturesque beaches on the Bulgarian seaside. Beach facilities include umbrellas, lounges, tables, photo services, volleyball playground, fitness hall, showers, inflatable children's slide, WC, bathing cabins and health centres. There are fast food restaurants and cocktail bars all along the beach line. 
The central beach is a natural continuation of the northern beach.

LOCATION:
Primorsko and Kiten are seaside climate resorts with national significance and are among the most visited destinations during the summer. The altitude is about 16 metres. Primorsko is situated on a small peninsula on the Black Sea Coast, between Stamopolo and Dyavolski Bays, at the foot of Strandzha Mountain. The distance to Bourgas is 52 km going south, 26 km south of Sozopol and 442 km south-east from Sofia.

TRANSPORT:
How can we reach Primorsko?
By bus:
You can take a direct bus to Primorsko from the Central Bus Station in Sofia. During the summer season a preliminary ticket purchase is recommended (at least a week prior to the travel date).
By train:
You can take a train to Bourgas from the Central Railway Station in Sofia. For sleeping-car you need a preliminary reservation at least a week prior to the travel date. From Bourgas you can take a bus or a taxi to Primorsko.
By air plane:
The fastest way to reach Primorsko from Sofia is taking a plane from Sofia Airport to Primorsko Airport or from Sofia Airport to Bourgas Airport. From Bourgas you can take a bus or a taxi to Primorsko.

Primorsko resort offers varied entertainment:
- You can choose going to the beach and enjoy a relaxing holiday under the sunshine, surrounded by golden sand and crystal clean water.

Water sports offered: water skiing, water wheels, surfing, boat trips, scooters, banana boats. The ice slide on the beach is the newest sports attraction in Primorsko. The facility is situated in close proximity to the “Dyavolska River Valley” beach. There's real ice on the slide, patent technology is used.

EXCURSIONS AND SIGHTSEEING AROUND PRIMORSKO:

The attractions in the area are many and varied:
There are several natural and historical sites on the territory of Primorsko - “Ropotamo” and “Vodni Lilii” reserves, “Arkutino” and “Stamopolu” marshes, “Perla” sand dunes, the easternmost part of Strandzha Mountain - “Maslen Nos” (Maslen Cape) and the unique Thracian settlement Beglik Tash. The old Roman fortress “Kaleno” is also in the region of Primorsko.
“Ropotamo” River – the river's banks are very picturesque, steep,terrace-like slopes covered with greenery and rocks in some corners. The park is inhabited by rare birds, wild-boars, roes, deer, etc. “Ropotamo” includes several smaller reserves: “Vodni Lilii” (“Water Lilies”), “Zmiyski Ostrov” (“Snake's Island”), “Arkutino” and “Morski Pelin” (“Sea Wormwood”).
“Zmiyski Ostrov” reserve is inhabited by plenty of snakes and birds. It spreads on 10 decares area and is famous for the cactuses with bird nests. The reserves bears the name of St Toma because of the chapel with his name located on the island.
“Arkutino” reserve is marsh – lagoon. The vegetation there is reed, bulrush and white water lily.
“Morski Pelin” reserve is famous for its rich sea wormwood field.
“Vodni Lilii” reserve is offering a splendid view which will remain on every visitor's holiday memories. The water is covered with hundreds of delicate white and yellow colours of the water lilies under the big bright green leaves.
The visit of “Ropotamo” reserve will brings you a delightful meeting with beautiful virgin nature and you will most enjoy its magnificence.
“Maslen Nos” reserve – the easternmost part of Strandzha Mountain and the third biggest on the Black Sea coast. The cape's name comes from legends saying that many ships delivering amphoras with olive oil crashed at that place in the past.
Beglik Tash is the earliest megalith sanctuary in south-east Thrace and on the Black Sea coast found so far. The big rock pieces are partly tilled by human hand and arranged in irregular cycles, as on certain days of the year the sun light penetrates through the holes between them as the stone slabs and blocks are arranged in unique forms.
“Perla” sand dunes are located to the north of Primorsko in the territory between Stamopolu lagoon and the beach. It is one of the best preserved dune complexes on the Bulgarian sea coast with ridges reaching up to 19 metres height which is a spectacular sight for the visitors.
