Maria Regina High School's Driver Education program, led by Mrs. Divine Evangelista-Miller, is pleased to announce our updated Fall Driving & Lecture Schedule. Mark Goldstein will act as Senior Driving Instructor, providing highly-experienced, top quality driving instruction.
Orientation Dates:
Friday | January 24th at 6pm
Monday | January 27th at 6pm
Friday | February 7th @ 6pm
Monday | February 24th @ 6pm
Classroom & Lecture Information:
- All students must attend lectures in person at Maria Regina High School. Lectures are 90 minutes long.
- Students must attend one lecture per week. Lectures are offered FIVE days a week at the times
In-Class Lecture Times
Monday | 4:00 pm
Tuesday | 4:00 pm or 5:30 pm
Wednesday | 3:30 pm
Friday | 4:45 pm
Saturday | 9:30 am or 11:00 am
Driving Training:
- All students must complete all required hours of driving through the Maria Regina High School driver education program.
- Students will select one driving session per week, with up to 4 students in a car/session.
- Driving sessions are 80 minutes long (20 minutes per student).
Weekdays: 3pm to 7pm (80 minute sessions)
Weekends: 9am to 3pm (80 minute sessions)
- Driving times will be assigned and selected on a first come- first serve basis at Orientation.
- We have multiple driving instructors available at the same time and can accommodate multiple driving sessions at the same time to suit our students’ needs.
Upon completing our program:
Students will receive:
- NYS Driver Education Course Completion Certificate (MV-285)
- 5-Hour Pre-Licensing Certificate (MV-278) after week-2 (If needed)
- Insurance Premium Reduction, where granted by insurance companies
