Maria Regina High School was founded in 1957 by the Archdiocese of New York and since 2009 is governed by a Board of Trustees – a powerful partner with the school that works to secure the future of Maria Regina through strategic planning, fundraising, and fiscal oversight. The board, led by an executive committee consisting of a chair, vice-chair, secretary and treasurer, is responsible for, but not limited to, developing the school’s budget, long-range plan, and school policy; and maintaining and improving the physical plant and grounds. It is a mix of former parents and alumnae, representatives of the Archdiocese of New York and community leaders. All members of the board are unpaid volunteers. Individuals wishing to serve the board’s various committees should submit an application to the board chair. Committee members are chosen by the current sitting Board of Trustees. |
